Germany have been drawn in Group 2 of League A in the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League and will face the Netherlands, Serbia and Greece in the group stage. The draw was held on Wednesday evening in Brussels.
“They are a great team with a lot of top-class players. It’s always a special game,” said Julian Nagelsmann about the “historic” clash with the Netherlands. “Serbia and Greece might not have the same squad depth as the Dutch, but they’ve still got some standout players, including a few names familiar from the Bundesliga. I’m expecting a real atmosphere in the away games, especially with their passionate supporters.”
The Nations League group stage will kick off between 24th and 26th September 2026. Further matchdays will take place from 27th to 29th September, 30th September to 3rd October, 4th to 6th October, and 12th to 14th November. The final group fixtures will be played between 15th and 17th November 2026.
The top two teams from each of the four League A groups will progress to the quarter-finals, which will be held over two legs between 25th and 30th March 2027. The four winners will advance to the finals, scheduled for 9th to 13th June 2027. The bottom teams in each group will be relegated, while the third-placed teams will face League B runners-up in play-offs for survival, also held between 25th and 30th March 2027.
