Germany women to open World Cup qualifying campaign in Dresden

Germany’s women’s national team will play their first match of 2026 in Dresden. Head coach Christian Wück’s side will take on Slovenia at the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion in Dresden on Tuesday, 3rd March 2026 (17:45 CET). The team most recently played there on 7th October 2022, winning 2-1 in a friendly against France.
The match will mark the start of Germany’s Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign, which will also feature games against Austria and Norway in Group A4. Their second group stage match will be away against Norway on Saturday, 7th March.
