Germany to play group stage games in Houston, Toronto and East Rutherford

Following on from yesterday’s group stage draw, FIFA have since confirmed the fixture schedule for next summer’s World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the USA. The tournament is set to run from 11th June to 19th July 2026.
Head coach Julian Nagelsmann’s side will open their campaign on Sunday, 14th June in Houston (19:00 CEST) against Curaçao, who are appearing at their first World Cup finals. They will then take on Ivory Coast in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday, 20th June (22:00 CEST). Germany’s final group stage match will take place in East Rutherford against Ecuador on Thursday, 25th June (22:00 CEST).
Full schedule to be confirmed in March
This will be the first edition of the World Cup to feature 48 teams, with matches set to be played across 16 different host cities. The final schedule will be confirmed in March, once the final six teams to qualify will have been determined following the conclusion of the play-off tournaments.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino was accompanied on stage during today’s schedule release by World Cup champions Ronaldo (Brazil) and Francesco Totti (Italy), as well as former USMNT international Alexi Lalas and Bulgaria great Christo Stoitschkow.
