DFB-Pokal round of 16: BVB face Leverkusen, Stuttgart away in Bochum

The draw for the DFB-Pokal round of 16 has been made. Reigning champions VfB Stuttgart will travel to second-division side VfL Bochum, while Borussia Dortmund will take on Bayer 04 Leverkusen in an all-NRW clash. The ties were drawn on Sunday evening at the German Football Museum in Dortmund by sailor Felix van den Hövel, with DFB vice-president Peter Frymuth overseeing the process and Lili Engels hosting the event.
Record winners Bayern München will visit Union Berlin, while Hamburger SV face fellow northern outfit Holstein Kiel. Borussia Mönchengladbach take on FC St. Pauli in an all-Bundesliga clash, Hertha BSC host 1. FC Kaiserslautern in a second-division duel, and SC Freiburg meet Darmstadt 98. RB Leipzig are set to welcome 1. FC Magdeburg.
The round of 16 ties will be played on 2nd and 3rd December. The final will take place at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on 23rd May 2026.
