DFB announce venues for home World Cup qualifiers

The DFB GmbH & Co. KG Supervisory Board and Shareholders’ Assembly decided on the venues for the Germany national team’s home World Cup qualifying fixtures in their meeting on Friday in Frankfurt am Main.
Should the DFB-Team progress from their UEFA Nations League quarter-final against four-time World Cup winners and two-time European champions Italy next week, then their first qualifying game won’t be until 7th September 2025 against Northern Ireland, which will be played in Cologne. Their next home match in Group A would be on 10th October 2025 against Luxembourg in Sinsheim, before hosting Slovakia on 17th November 2025 in Leipzig. The DFB would be the hosts of the Nations League’s Final Four if Germany are involved, with Stuttgart and Munich the designated venues. The two semi-finals will take place on 4th and 5th June, with the final and a third-place play-off set for 8th June.
If Germany are knocked out by Italy and miss out on the Final Four, then their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign would begin on 9th June 2025 with a game against Moldova in Stuttgart. Julian Nagelsmann’s side would find themselves in Group I instead, set for further home meetings with Estonia on 5th September 2025 in Cologne, Israel on 14th October in Sinsheim, and Norway on 16th November in Leipzig.
