Burkardt added to Final Four squad

Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has added Jonathan Burkardt to his squad for the upcoming Final Four of the UEFA Nations League. The 1. FSV Mainz 05 forward will arrive at the HomeGround at DFB partner adidas in Herzogenaurach with the rest of the team on Friday. Nagelsmann’s side will use the facilities as a base ahead of their semi-final against Portugal on 4th June in München (21:00 CEST kick-off). 24-year-old Burkardt has won three senior caps for the DFB-Team to date.
Meanwhile, Angelo Stiller has pulled out of the squad. The newly-crowned DFB-Pokal winner with VfB Stuttgart has told Nagelsmann that he is unavailable due to an ankle ligament problems that hasn’t fully healed.
After arriving at the adidas campus, the team will hold a public training session from 16:30 CEST on Friday afternoon, set to be streamed live on the DFB’s YouTube channel.
