Germany national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann announced his 26-player squad for the UEFA Nations League Final Four on Thursday. Captain Joshua Kimmich of German champions FC Bayern München is set to receive his 100th international cap.

Tom Bischof of TSG Hoffenheim and Nick Woltemade, who was called up by Germany U21 coach Antonio Di Salvo on Wednesday for his provisional squad ahead of the European Championship in June and will play the DFB-Pokal final with VfB Stuttgart in Berlin on Saturday, will both bolster the Germany contingent for the first time as their nation clashes with Portugal in the Nations League semi-final on 4th June.

"We can beat portugal"

Returning to the German squad are Florian Wirtz of Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Waldemar Anton and Felix Nmecha from Borussia Dortmund, Aleksandar Pavlović and Serge Gnabry of FC Bayern Munich, Niclas Füllkrug from Premier League club West Ham United and goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen of Spanish league champions and cup winners FC Barcelona.

Julian Nagelsmann: “If we are at our best, then we can beat Portugal and that is our aim. We cannot approach it with any less intensity than we did against Italy in the quarter-finals, because I think Portugal are a very strong team. We will throw everything at it in order to reach the final in Munich.”

The Germany squad will meet up at the Home Ground of DFB partner adidas in Herzogenaurach on Friday. Yann Aurel Bisseck will join up with the team slightly later after competing with Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Training session livestream from the adidas campus

The national squad will undertake their first training session on Friday afternoon in front of fans at the adidas campus, which will be available to watch live at 16:30 CEST on the DFB YouTube channel.

The squad will arrive in Munich on 3rd June before facing Portugal in the Nations League semi-final the next day (kick-off 21:00 CEST). The final in Munich (21:00 CEST) and third-placed play-off in Stuttgart (15:00 CEST) are both scheduled for 8th June.
