SQAD-Futsal-Challenge: Germany to face six-time world champions Brazil in anniversary match
Germany will celebrate the tenth anniversary of their national futsal team with a high-profile game against Brazil on 9th December 2026. Marcel Loosveld’s side will face the reigning world champions and record six-time winners at the SAP Garden in Munich as part of the SQAD-Futsal-Challenge, which will also feature a world first for international futsal.
“We’re hugely excited about this special game in our anniversary year,” said Loosveld. “Brazil are one of the strongest futsal nations in the world and our aim is to test ourselves against the reigning world champions and record six-time winners. The more fans we have behind us in this fantastic arena in Munich, the more memorable the evening will be for all of us.”
Raising the profile of futsal
The SQAD-Futsal-Challenge also marks the start of an innovation partnership between the German Football Association (DFB) and SQAD21, with the shared aim of supporting the long-term development of futsal in Germany, raising its profile and helping the sport progress internationally.
The match will also mark a world first in terms of technology. The SQAD FUTSAL+ COURT will host the first international futsal match ever played on a fully programmable LED glass floor using innovative ASB GlassFloor technology. The new court combines elite sport with digital technology, opening up new ways of integrating sport and entertainment. For SQAD21, the project represents a new approach to sports entertainment.
Alongside the top-class action on the court, fans can look forward to a full programme of entertainment for the whole family.
Tickets now available
Tickets for the SQAD-Futsal-Challenge are now available from the DFB ticket shop. Seats are priced from €20, with concessions available from €15. Tickets for children aged 14 and under cost €10 in the family and fan sections.
Members of the Fan Club Nationalmannschaft can also purchase tickets in the fan section behind the goal for just €15.
The German Football Association (DFB) also offers a free car-sharing service for supporters of all DFB teams and competitions at fanfahrt.dfb.de.
