New DFB presidential board convenes

Following the conclusion of the 45th Ordinary DFB Bundestag at the DFB Campus in Frankfurt am Main, the newly elected presidential board of the German Football Association (DFB) held its inaugural meeting. Bernd Neuendorf will continue to lead the board as DFB president for the new legislative term.
Ronny Zimmermann (Southern German FA) was confirmed as 1st DFB vice-president for amateur football. Hans-Joachim Watzke was also confirmed as 1st DFB vice-president representing the DFL, alongside vice-president Dr. Marc Lenz (CEO of DFL GmbH) and fellow DFL vice-presidents Oliver Leki and Oke Göttlich.
Stephan Grunwald remains on the board as DFB treasurer, while newly appointed DFB general secretary Dr. Holger Blask also joins the committee.
Heike Ullrich, previously general secretary, takes up a new role as vice-president for women’s and girls’ football. Célia Šašić continues as vice-president for diversity and inclusion. The board has also been expanded to include a new vice-president for the implementation of the DFB’s strategic process, a position held by Matthias Schöck.
The vice-presidents representing the DFB’s regional and state associations confirmed in office are Ralph-Uwe Schaffert (Northern German FA), Hermann Winkler (North-East German FA), Peter Frymuth (Western German FA), Thomas Bergmann (South-West Regional FA) and Silke Sinning (Southern German FA).
