Times and dates of 2025/26 DFB-Pokal first-round ties announced

The DFB has announced the times and dates for the first round of the 2025/2026 DFB-Pokal. 30 matches have been scheduled between 15th and 18th August, with two further ties to be played on 26th and 27th August.
Three fixtures kick off the first round of the cup in Friday, 15th August at 18:00 CEST, when fourth-tier FC Gütersloh host Bundesliga side 1. FC Union Berlin, while third-division team 1. FC Saarbrücken are visited by second-tier 1. FC Magdeburg and top-flight runners-up Bayer Leverkusen travel to face fourth-division Sonnenhof Großaspach. The clash between Bundesliga club 1. FSV Mainz 05 and newly-promoted second-tier team SG Dynamo Dresden has been scheduled for Monday, 18th August as a result of local authority requirements.
The two participants in the Supercup will round out the DFB-Pokal first round, firstly when second-division Eintracht Braunschweig host reigning cup champions VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday, 26th August at 20:45 CEST. On Wednesday, 27th August, record DFB-Pokal winners and current Bundesliga champions FC Bayern München visit third-tier SV Wehen Wiesbaden (20:45 CEST).
