Jürgen Klopp named his first squad as head coach of the Germany men’s senior national team today at the DFB Campus in Frankfurt. Klopp has selected a total of 44 players across two squads for the four upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures. The first 24-man squad will contest the opening two games, away to the Netherlands in Amsterdam on 24th September (20:45 CEST) and at home to Greece in Augsburg on 27th September (20:45 CEST). A further 20 players will then join the group for the games against Serbia in Munich on 1st October (20:45 CEST) and the return fixture against Greece in Thessaloniki on 4th October (20:45 CEST), with the majority of the players involved in the first two matches returning to their clubs.

Goalkeepers Marc-André ter Stegen (Ajax) and Finn Dahmen (FC Augsburg) return to the squad that will meet at DFB partner adidas in Herzogenaurach from Monday. Defenders Yann Aurel Bisseck (Inter Milan) and Josha Vagnoman (VfB Stuttgart) are also back, along with Anton Stach (Leeds United), Chris Führich (VfB Stuttgart), Kevin Schade (Brentford FC) and Serge Gnabry (FC Bayern München). Hennes Behrens of FC Augsburg receives his first senior call-up, as do former Germany youth internationals Max Rosenfelder, Philipp Treu and Yannik Engelhardt of SC Freiburg, TSG Hoffenheim’s Bambasé Conté and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Younes Ebnoutalib.

Tickets still available for Munich

Following the Greece game in Augsburg, Noah Atubolu and Jonathan Burkardt of Eintracht Frankfurt will make their return to the senior squad after missing out on the World Cup, as will Maximilian Mittelstädt of VfB Stuttgart, RB Leipzig duo Ridle Baku and Brajan Gruda, Saïd El Mala of 1. FC Köln, FC Bayern München’s Tom Bischof and FC Barcelona’s Karim Adeyemi. U17 World Cup and European Championship winner Finn Jeltsch (VfB Stuttgart), Felix Keidel (SV Elversberg), U21 European champion Vitaly Janelt (Brentford FC), as well as U21 internationals Mika Baur (Celtic) and Derry Scherhant (SC Freiburg), have all been called up to the senior national team for the first time.

The home international in Augsburg, which will feature standing areas for the first time in 20 years, has been sold out for several weeks. Tickets for the Serbia game in Munich are available here.
