Head coach Wück hands Franziska Kett first call-up

National team head coach Christian Wück has announced his 23-player squad for the upcoming UEFA Women's Nations League fixtures with Scotland. 20-year-old Franziska Kett of FC Bayern München has received her first Germany call-up.
Christian Wück: “We have been keeping tabs on Franziska Kett and her development for some time now. She provides a great deal of dynamism with her explosive style of play. She suffered a long-term injury but has worked her way back to full fitness with her club side. We believe that she can do a job for the national team and will be able to perform at the highest level for the full 90 minutes. We are really excited to welcome her to the Germany camp.”
Knaak and Hendrich miss out through injury
Four players make their returns to the squad, namely Paulina Krumbiegel (Juventus), Sydney Lohmann (FC Bayern München), Cora Zicai and Rafaela Borggräfe (both SC Freiburg). 24-year-old Krumbiegel was previously selected for the Germany Women in November 2023. Lohmann received her last call-up in October 2024 but had to leave the camp early after sustaining an injury during the game in London. Rebecca Knaak (Manchester City) and Kathrin Hendrich (VfL Wolfsburg) are both absent from the 23-player squad, each due to a thigh injury.
12 players are on standby, including four members of the U23 squad, those being Carlotta Wamser and Lisanne Gräwe (both Eintracht Frankfurt), Shekiera Martinez (West Ham United) and goalkeeper Ena Mahmutovic (FC Bayern München).
National coach Christian Wück and his side will meet up next Monday in Frankfurt. The Germany squad will then begin preparations for their Nations League clash in Dundee on Friday, 4th April (kick-off 20:35 CEST). The return fixture will take place just a few days later, with Scotland visiting Wolfsburg for the Germany Women’s first match at the Volkswagen Arena in nearly 14 years (kick-off 17:45 CEST).
