Germany women’s national team set to face Argentina and Peru in South America

Germany’s women’s national team will round off 2026 with two matches in South America in preparation for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Christian Wück’s side will first take on Argentina in La Plata at 00:15 CET on 30th November. The match will mark the reopening of the Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona. Germany have previously met the “Albiceleste” on two occasions, most recently in the opening game of the 2007 World Cup.
“Hugely valuable for our development”
Germany will then travel to Rio de Janeiro, where they will face Peru for the first time ever on 4th December (22:15 CET). It will also be Peru’s first-ever match against European opposition.
Germany coach Christian Wück said: “We’re very much looking forward to being back on the international stage with the games against Argentina and Peru – they’re two opponents who have different styles of play. Matches like these are hugely valuable for our development because they present us with new challenges and give us the chance to gain important experience against top-level international opposition. At the same time, the trip to South America gives us an opportunity to help the players get a feel for what to expect over there, whether that’s the climate, the culture or the day-to-day routines. We believe these experiences could prove invaluable as we prepare for the World Cup.”
