Further squad changes ahead of Australia and Japan friendlies

Germany head coach Christian Wück has been forced into several changes to his squad ahead of the upcoming friendlies against Australia and Japan, with Luzie Zähringer, Nicole Anyomi and Sarai Linder all receiving call-ups.
Larissa Mühlhaus (Eintracht Frankfurt), Bibiane Schulze Solano (Athletic Bilbao) and Selina Cerci (Arsenal) are the latest players to withdraw from the squad. Mühlhaus left the Germany camp early on Wednesday due to illness, while Schulze Solano has been ruled out with a muscle injury and Cerci is unavailable due to knee problems.
Wück has called up 18-year-old Luzie Zähringer from VfB Stuttgart, who captains Germany's U19 side. She is expected to join the squad later on Thursday.
Earlier in the week, Nicole Anyomi (London City Lionesses) was called up to replace Vivien Endemann (Liverpool), who withdrew with a minor calf injury. Sarai Linder (VfL Wolfsburg) was also brought into the squad after captain Giulia Gwinn (FC Bayern München) suffered an injury during her club's Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Germany will therefore have a 22-player squad for their two upcoming friendlies. They face Australia at the BBBank Wildpark in Karlsruhe on Friday, 9th October (20:30 CEST), before taking on Asian champions Japan at the Weserstadion in Bremen on Tuesday, 13th October (17:45 CEST).
