Women's National team beat Japan 6-3

The German Women's National Team has won the last international friendly in the year 2006. The German Team beat Japan in Karlsruhe on Thursday 6-3 (3-0).

Without the injured players Silke Rottenberg, Sandra Minnert, Martina Müller and Renate Lingor the German team was very involved in the game at the beginning. Striker Petra Wimbersky scored the first goal (9.). Before the break Germany increased the lead to 3-0. Record-Player Birgit Prinz (22.) and Célia Okoyino da Mbabi (36.) scored.

In the second half japanese Striker Ohno marked the first goal for the guests (54.). Goals from Kerstin Garefrekes (60.), Wimbersky (62.) and Conny Pohlers (76.) made it 6-1. But Japan did not give up. Miyama (82.) and Mauryama (87.) scored at the end for the Asian team. [tw]
