Women's Cup: Frankfurt dethroned by Potsdam

1. FFC Turbine Potsdam is the new German Women's Cup Winner. The team from Brandenburg dethroned five-times winner 1. FFC Frankfurt on Saturday in Berlin's Olympiastadion, handing the actual German champ a 3-0 (1-0) defeat in front of 30.000 visitors.

Conny Pohlers opened the score after 27 minutes, but already four minutes earlier Frankfurt escaped, when Petra Wimbersky's penalty shot was cleared by goalkeeper Marleen Wissink. Potsdam doubled the score shortly after the break through Jennifer Zietz's shot from 16 metres. Anja Mittag sealed the victory only five minutes later.
