Third consecutive German Cup title for Turbine Potsdam

Women's Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam won their third consecutive German Cup title on Saturday. The titleholders beat 1. FFC Frankfurt 2-0 (0-0) in the final at Berlin Olympic stadium.

So Turbine can still aim for the triple of German Cup, UEFA Women's Cup and German league title. Both teams will meet again in the UEFA Cup final mid-May and will also face each other in a crucial Bundesliga game.

Approximately 30,000 spectators saw the match. Under-19 national Isabel Kerschowsi scored the first goal of the game in the 79th minute, Potsdam colleague Petra Wimbersky added another only three minutes later.
