He took the ball down elegantly in one of Manchester City's counter attacks and then played in a beautiful pass to Kevin de Bruyne, who put Gabriel Jesus through for the table-toppers second goal of the game. Raheem Sterling got the third shortly before the break, while Everton's goal in the game came in the 63rd minute through Yala Bolasie. Another Die Mannschaft player, Ilkay Gündogan also made a substitute appearance, coming on in the 77th minute in place of de Bruyne.
Having won 27 of their 31 games, City have a commanding lead at the top of the table. They sit out in front on 84 points, 16 ahead of Manchester United in second place. Next Saturday the two sides face each other in a game where Manchester City will be able to take the title.
