Nürnberg fight back for draw

A stunning Timmy Simons volley helped 1. FC Nürnberg fight back for a 2-2 draw at VfL Wolfsburg as the sides turned their midtable clash into a feast of attacking football on Sunday. Bottom club SpVgg Greuther Fürth continued to play the role of generous hosts as they lost 3-2 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in the other game, leaving them winless in their own stadium in their debut Bundesliga season.

Bayern München are one step closer to German Championship after a 9-2 thrashing of Hamburger SV on Saturday. With a win next week at Eintracht Frankfurt Bayern will be crowned six matches from time. Claudio Pizarro scored four times, Arjen Robben twice. Before reigning champions Borussia Dortmund prevented an early title celebration by winning 2-1 at VfB Stuttgart.
