Müller: “April is a busy month”

Thomas Müller and FC Bayern München emerged from the international break firing from all cylinders in the Bundesliga. On matchday 26 the record champions thrashed FC Augsburg 6-0 in the Allianz Arena, with Müller claiming a brace of goals. In an interview with DFB.de the World Champion talks about his good form and the upcoming challenges in April.

Question: Mr. Müller, are you glad that you won’t have to answer questions on your scoring drought following the game with Frankfurt.

Müller: Let’s wait and see how my career unfolds, maybe I’ll go through another drought and I’ll have to face those questions again.

Question: You seem to have found your form again.

Müller: Scoring goals is fun and I’ve managed to score at least one goal in each of my last three competitive games, if I include the game with the national team. Today’s game was a lot of fun of course.

Question: What is the reason that Bayern are seemingly finding their groove this spring, which wasn’t the case in previous years?

Müller: Let’s wait and see what happens in the important games we have coming up. To a certain extent, we have to brace ourselves. We are in good shape, but April is a busy month for us. We’ll have to try and find a way through the fire.

Question: Are you worried about the absence of Manuel Neuer, especially in regard to the games with Real Madrid.

Müller: It will work out.

Question: Your next game is on Tuesday in Hoffenheim. What type of game do you anticipate?

Müller: We have to push the pace in order to win the game. We know we won’t be handed any gifts in Hoffenheim. They have a good team with good quality. We will approach the game accordingly.
