"Merry Christmas" from the dfb.de-staff

Our editorial staff would like to say thanks to all international visitors of the internet pages of the German football association DFB. Thanks for your support and great interest in the German national teams, starting with the men's team, which finished third at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Throughout the year, the DFB.de-pages were frequented by a huge number of international visitors from all over the world. It is truly amazing, that the German men's team has supporters in every nook and niche of the world. Users visited the English section of DFB.de, but also the pages of team.dfb.de and our new section for kids paule.dfb.de. We promise to work hard to provide you with all meaningful news on German football in 2011.

Looking forward to the Women's World Cup

The women's game takes center stage in 2011, with Germany hosting the World Cup between June 26 and July 17. With the final draw held in November, the tension rises. The under 17 Juniors have their World Cup in Mexico this year (June 18 - July 10), but Germany still has to clinch a slot first.

We'll keep you posted on the most recent developments, with the focus clearly being the team of Joachim Löw, as the EURO qualifying round comes to an exciting conclusion.
