Kroos, Kimmich and Neuer nominated for UEFA Team of the Year

Germany internationals Toni Kroos, Joshua Kimmich and Manuel Neuer have been shortlisted for the UEFA Team of the Year. Fans can choose from a pool of 50 players from around Europe, including Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, to make up their dream eleven. Voting opened today (Wednesday 22nd November), and will run up until 9th January 2018. The team will be released three days later.

Reigning Champions League champions Real Madrid have had the most players nominated with eleven, including The Best FIFA Men’s Player Cristiano Ronaldo. Finalists Juventus have five representatives.

As this team is voted for by the fans, it is separate to the official UEFA Team of the Year. More than seven million votes were cast last year.
