Kramer: "My squad for Georgia"

The U19 European Championship gets underway in Georgia on Sunday (2nd-15th July). Germany's first match in Group B is on Monday (18:00 CEST) against the Netherlands. Frank Kramer's team have one of their toughest tests first up and the 45-year-old presents the 18-man squad that he will have at his disposal during the tournament in Georgia.

Goalkeepers

Markus Schubert (Dynamo Dresden): Markus emits calmness, but is still an aggressuve and forceful goalie. He's a real competitor who brings his best performances when it matters most.

Eike Bansen (Borussia Dortmund): He's a very businesslike and quiet goalkeeper, who has the right physical attributes. Eike is also calm in controlling his penalty area and plays very balls out from the back.

Defence

Julian Chabot (Sparta Rotterdam): Julian is a powerful centre-back, whose big strengths lie in duels. It's no fun playing as a striker against him. He's also convincing in his strong and sharp football when playing out from the back.

Jonas Busam (SC Freiburg): He's has good physicality and good pace. As a right-back, Jonas is always looking to go forward and support the attack. But he balances that with the defensive side of the game.

Dominik Franke (RB Leipzig): A very straightforward and workmanlike left-back, who has always put in a performance when it's mattered.

Gökhan Gül (Fortuna Düsseldorf): Strong in the air, despite being relatively small for a centre-back. He's also very good with his feet and can play balls into different areas.

Felix Götze (FC Bayern München): He's a technically good footballer who is strong in the air. He developed his game well over the course of the season.

Midfield

Bote Baku (FSV Mainz 05): A very agile player with good movement. He can move with the ball at pace because of his tremendous technique, which also makes him unpredictable.

Aymen Barkok (Eintracht Frankfurt): He has great technique and will always produce one special moment in a match. Our attack profits from his movement and his skills in one-on-one situations.

Sidney Friede (Hertha BSC Berlin): Very athletic and well-trained. Sidney is a fine footballer who always wants to get forward from midfield, but sometimes also needs to remember to hang back.

Robin Hack (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim): A fast, unpredictable winger, whose good at dribbling. He's full of surprises and likes to outnumber the opposition.

Dennis Geiger (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim): A typical midfield general with the right amount of aggressiveness. Dennis also developed his strategic skills over the course of the season which makes him an important player in midfield.

David Raum (SpVgg Greuther Fürth): David is known for his willingness and perseverance whereby he always carries a goal threat. He took his chance at the training camp.

Salih Özcan (1. FC Köln): Our captain and reliable man on the pitch. Salih is a wonderful footballer, who has good movement and is powerful in the middle of midfield. He is an example to the others of willingness to perform because he always wants to play going forward.

Görkem Saglam (VfL Bochum): A fine technician who likes to manufacture a good final pass and during the season added more of a goal threat to his game. Görkem also took his chance t at the training camp.

Mats Köhlert (Hamburger SV): Very tricky so difficult for opponents who don't know him to know which way he is going to turn. Mats has become more robust and has learnt how to defend aggressively.

Strikers

Etienne Amenyido (Borussia Dortmund): Etti is very dynamic and knows how best to use his powerful physicality. He works very hard for the team. He's also always been dangerous in front of goal for us.

Tobias Warschewski (Preußen Münster): Always a danger in front of goal and always good for a surprising moment within the penalty area. Has good quality in the final third.
