Khedira gets hat-trick in Juventus win

Italian champions Juventus reduced the gap on the current Serie A leaders thanks to a hat-trick from Sami Khedira. Juventus won 6-2 against Udinese, despite having only 10 players for 70 minutes due to former Bundesliga player Mario Mandzukic’s red card.

World Cup winner Khedira scored his first goal of the season and the first hat-trick of his club career. The 30-year-old scored three times once for Germany U21s during a qualification fixture against Luxembourg. Juventus now lie three points behind Napoli and two behind Inter Milan in Serie A after their 0-0 draw with one another on Saturday evening.

“WHAT A GAME! Great mentality, scoring four goals with one man down -Very happy about the first hat-trick in my professional career,” wrote Khedira after the game on Twitter.

Özil scores for Arsenal

Courtesy of a header and an assist from Mesut Özil on Sunday, Arsenal won 5-2 against Everton. The Germany international scored in the 53rd minute before assisting Alexandre Lacazette's goal as Arsenal moved up to fifth with the win.

Big defeat for Can and Liverpool

Emre Can and Liverpool suffered their second loss of the season against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. The Reds were defeated 4-1 by last season’s runners-up and Liverpool now lie in ninth place in the table. Their first loss came against Manchester City in September when Liverpoool lost 5-0.

Last minute point for Draxler and PSG

World Cup winner Julian Draxler and his club Paris Saint Germain missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1. The team from the French capital salvaged a point against Olympique Marseille in extra time to draw 2-2 to mean their lead over AS Monaco is four instead of six points. Draxler came on in the 69th minute but Kevin Trapp did not feature.
