Important wins for Bielefeld and Bochum

Arminia Bielefeld (2-1 at Werder Bremen) and VfL Bochum (2-0 against Karlsruher SC ) celebrated important wins on Sunday to complete Round 18 of the Bundesliga. Promoted 1899 Hoffenheim defended the top of the German Bundesliga on the first round after the winter break with a 2-0 victory against lowly Energie Cottbus. Bayern München had earlier lost their first match of the year 1-0 at Hamburger SV on Friday.
