Hennings and Rosenthal score twice, Germany win 7-0

The German Under 21 Men won their fourth qualifier for the European Championship on Tuesday 7-0 (6-0) against hosts Luxemburg. In the "Stade Josy Barthel", Rouwen Hennings and Jan Rosenthal both scored twice.

The German team rank second in Group I with now ten points and thus two points behind leaders Northern Ireland that beat Moldova 3-0 (3-0). The Brits have played two more matches. Luxemburg is at the end of the table with five losses in as many games.

In front of 1257 spectators, Rouwen Hennings broke the tie after eight minutes. A Marc Andre Kruska penalty (13th) and two goals by Jan Rosenthal (19th/23rd) led to a comfortable 4-0 lead, before Baris Özbek (29th) and once again Hennings (43rd) scored for Germany already before the halftime whistle. In the second half, Ashkan Dejagah (90th) scored the only German goal.

The ten Group winners and four best runner-ups qualify for the play-offs for the final tournament in Sweden.
