Helmut Spahn becomes new safety representative of the DFB

Helmut Spahn becomes the new safety representative of the German Football-Federation (DFB). The 45 years old former director of the special task forces of the police Frankfurt was from September 2003 until October this year security head of the organizing committee of the Football World Championship 2006 in Germany.

Spahn will start his new task on Thursday and becomes thus successor of the so far honorary DFB safety representative Dr. h.c. Alfred Sengle, who separates to the end of the year. [hs]
