Hahn seals move from Augsburg to Mönchengladbach

Borussia Mönchengladbach have emerged the winners in the tussle to sign André Hahn from league rivals FC Augsburg. After defeating Hamburger SV 3-1 on Sunday, Borussia announced that the 23-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a four-year contract with the five-time Bundesliga champions that runs until 30 June 2018.

"André Hahn has made incredible progress in Augsburg this season", said Borussia director of sport Max Eberl. "He’s one of the most prolific wide players in the league and is sure to be a great addition to our attack. We had a lot of competition for his signature and we’re delighted he's decided to join us." Hahn has made 43 Bundesliga appearances to date, scoring ten goals and providing seven assists this season.

Hahn's contract with Augsburg was due to run until June 2016 but contained a release clause based on a predetermined transfer fee.
