Germany out after 2-3 against Greece

A last minute goal from Andreas Lampropoulos secured a 3-2 (1-1) win for Greece against Germany in the Under 19 European Championships in Austria. The Greece striker marked the game winning goal in the semifinal clash in Steyr on Tuesday.

Änis Ben Hatira scored the opener in the 25th minute and keeps alive the German hopes to get into the final. Grecce strikes back with two goals from Sotiris Ninis (40.) and Kostas Mitroglou (58.) but Ben-Hatira again with a penalty (65.) got Germany back into the game.

Seconds before regulation time ends Lampropoulos destroyed the German dreams when he marked the game winner with a header after a corner kick.

Even before their final group game, the German U19 women have qualified for the semifinal of the European Championships. The team of Maren Meinert faces host nation Iceland Monday evening. The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday.
