The german national team lost Wednesday a friendly against Italy in Stuttgart 0:1. A tight passing movement between Alessandro del Piero and Francesco Totti put Christian Vieri through to hammer home from just inside the box after 17 minutes.
Germany had the best chance to equalise in the second half, but Gianluigi Buffon saved most of the german shots. The best chance had Miroslav Klose in the 61 minute, but Defender Christian Panucci took the ball off the line.
