German Women qualified for the World Cup after 3-2 against Russia

The German Women's National Team qualified for the World Cup 2007 in China by taking the eighth straight win. The German Team won the last game in the qualifying campaign in Moscow against Russia 3-2 (3-0).

Sandra Smisek made the first goal of the game after 32 minutes. Kerstin Garefrekes (36.) and Birgit Prinz (45.) scored in the first half, and in the second half the Russians made two goals by Natalja Barbaschina (84.) and Olga Kremlewa (90.).
