Frankfurt's streak goes on

Eintracht Frankfurt keep up their stunning streak as a promoted team even in the sixth Round of the Bundesliga. Their 2-1 (0-0) against SC Freiburg was their fifth win during this season. They stay runner-up, two points behind leaders Bayern München. Alexander Meier scored twice, after Freiburg had opened the score. In the second Sunday match, VfL Wolfsburg lost 0-2 to Mainz 05, and are now struggling in the second part of the table.

Meanwhile HSV continued their upward trend. The Latvian Artjoms Rudnevs scored on pass from star player Rafael van der Vaart to score the winner against Hannover 96.

Marco Reus had a brace and Borussia Dortmund returned to winning ways. After two games of the German Champion without a win, the former Borussia Moenchengladbach star scored his season goals number three and four (35th and 70th), the cornerstone for the 5-0 (2-0) win against his former club. Besides Reus Neven Subotic (40th), Ilkay Gundogan (79) and Jakub Blaszczykowski (85th) were on target in front of 80,645 spectators at a packed Signal Iduna Park

Luiz Gustavo and Mario Mandzukic scored the decisive goals for Bayern in a 2-0 win at Werder Bremen.

Promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf had their first goals against this season but saved a point against Schalke 04 on Friday. The team of trainer Norbert Meier played 2:2 (0:2) at home. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Joel Matip scored for Schalke, Dani Schahin made two goals for Fortuna.
