Bayern wins 22nd Toyota European / South American Cup

The 22nd Toyota European / South American Cup was held on Tuesday. At the National Stadium of Tokyo European Cup-winner Bayern Muenchen beat Boca Juniors Buenos Aires, winner of South America´s Copa Libertadores 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Samuel Kuffour in the overtime.

The team from Argentinia won the Cup in 1977 (3-0, 2-2 against Borussia Moenchengladbach) and 2000 (2-1 against Real Madrid), German side Bayern München clinched the title 1976 (2-0, 0-0 against Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte). [tok]
