Bayern beat Berlin 4-1, Schalke at the top

Round three of the German Bundesliga was completed with two matches on Sunday. Bayern München won 4-1 at home to Hertha Berlin to clinch their first Bundesliga victory under new coach Jürgen Klinsmann. Schalke 04 went top thanks to a superb header from Germany defender Heiko Westermann to seal a 1-0 win over VfL Bochum to knock Hoffenheim from top place on Saturday.
