Oberdorf suffers ACL tear, Dallmann called up to take her place

FC Bayern München midfielder Lena Oberdorf sustained an ACL tear in her right knee during Sunday afternoon’s Bundesliga game against 1. FC Köln, it has been established after the player underwent medical tests in Munich on Monday. As a result, the 23-year-old will be unavailable for selection for both FC Bayern and the Germany women’s national team for the foreseeable future.
National side head coach Christian Wück has called up FC Bayern’s Linda Dallmann in light of the news, as Germany prepare to face France in the two-legged UEFA Women’s Nations League semi-final. She will join up with the squad tonight.
The Germany women’s national team gathered in Düsseldorf today as they prepare for the first leg of the semi-final on Friday, 24th October (kick-off 17:45 CEST). The return leg will be played in Caen in France on Tuesday, 28th October (kick-off 21:10 CET).
