World Rankings: World Cup holders Germany retain top spot

Current World Cup champions Germany remain top of the FIFA World Rankings. Joachim Löw’s side lead ahead of Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium with the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia four months away.

As only 34 internationals (predominately in Africa) were played over January, the rankings are mostly unchanged. The top 10 remains the same. In the top 20, there is one change as Iceland have moved up to 18th which is a record high for their national team. The next World Rankings will be published on March 15th 2018.
