World Champions remain ranked number one

The reigning World Cup holders remain top of the pile. After the international friendlies in March against Spain (1-1) in Düsseldorf and Brazil (0-1) in Berlin, the Germany national team maintained their top spot. With 1533 points, Joachim Löw remain ahead of Brazil (1384 points) and the new third place nation Belgium (1346).

Germany’s first World Cup opponent Mexico moved up two spots to 15th place, Sweden dropped to 23rd place and South Korea find themselves in the 61st place. The next edition of the World Rankings will be published on May 17th. Two days prior, Joachim Löw will announce his squad which will be aiming to defend the World Cup this summer in Russia.
