Six Germans have been nominated for the FIFA FIFPro World XI. FIFA announced the full list of nominees on Wednesday, with Manuel Neuer, Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng (all Bayern München), Philipp Lahm (retired), Mesut Özil (Arsenal and Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) joining a further 49 players, who have been chosen.

Almost 25,000 professional footballers from around 700 countries will take part in the FIFPro voting process. In David Alaba, Thiago, Arturo Vidal and Robert Lewandowski, four other non-German FC Bayern players also have the chance to be picked for the world's best eleven.

The World Footballer of the Year will also be revealed on October 23rd. 24 players have been nominated for this award, as Germany internationals Manuel Neuer and Toni Kroos are in the running alongside the two favourites Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
