Germany won 3-0 against Iceland

Germany booked their ticket to the 2004 European championships in Portugal in style with a comfortable 3-0 win over Iceland here on Saturday.

The World Cup finalists needed just a point to qualify as Group Five winners but delighted the 50,700 home fans by putting three goals past Iceland as the three-time European champions qualified for their ninth European championships in succession

Goals from Michael Ballack, Fredi Bobic and a first international goal for VfB Stuttgart striker Kevin Kuranyi secured victory and laid the ghost of the disappointing 0-0 draw in Reykjavik last time out.
