EC Qualifier: Germany thrashes Portugal 13-0

With 15 winners of the World Cup 2003 the German Women's National Team beat Portugal 13-0 (3-0) in a qualifier for the European Championships 2005.

In front of 13.500 visitors in the sold out Stadium an der Kreuzeiche in Reutlingen, Birgit Prinz scored four times (46, 58, 63 and 65th), Conny Pohlers (77 and 86th) twice, while Sandra Minnert (31st), Sandra Smisek (51st), Renate Lingor (81st) and Ariane Hingst (84th) had one goal each. Sonja Fuss (9th) and Viola Odebrecht (64th) contributed their first international goals to make it the highest score in Germany's Women's National Team history.
