DFB delegation with Grindel and Löw pay German chancellor Merkel a visit

German chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel invited a delegation from the German Football Association (DFB) - including president Reinhard Grindel and general secretary Dr. Friedrich Curtius - to a dinner at the Chancellor’s office in Berlin yesterday evening.

Also present was the German men’s national team’s entire sports administration, including head coach Joachim Löw, manager Oliver Bierhoff and goalkeeping coach Andreas Köpke, as well as assistant coaches Thomas Schneider and Marcus Sorg. The DFB representatives presented the Chancellor with a signed Germany shirt at the beginning of the event.
