Touchdown in Lille: Die Mannschaft on the road

It's become routine by now: Germany's national team have hit the road four times now at the European Championships as they made their way back to Lille on Saturday, where they will face Slovakia in the round of 16 on Sunday (kick-off: 18:00 CEST). The team bus was ready for departure at around 15:45 in front of the Hotel Ermitage, with the squad taking off for the airport. With Geneva's lake on the right, and the French Alps on the left, they eventually arrived at Annecy to board their plane.

The flight lasted roughly an hour and a half, as they flew 600 kilometres across France to touchdown in Lille at around 19:00. They reached their team hotel about thirty minutes later and having completed their final training session early in the day back in Évian, the players were able to enjoy dinner, watch some football and get a good night's rest.
