Melissa Wiik (41st) scored for the team from Scandinavia when she headed into a cross by Leni Kurin.

German goalkeeper Nadine Angerer was thus beaten for the first time after 1022 minutes without a goal against. Only shortly after the beginning of the second half, Marie Knutsen (49th) was again successful for Norway.

As she had announced prior to the tournament in the south of Portugal, German coach Silvia Neid used the Algarve Cup as a try-out-phase for this summer’s Olympic Games in Beijing.
