There was lots of free space in the first half, which we failed to exploit. It’s extraordinary to have reached the semi-final with this young team. For me, it was important to give all players some time out on the pitch. Amin Younes looked lively on the left and I was pleased with Benjamin Henrichs’ performance too. We have decided that Marc-André ter Stegen will be in goal for the rest of the competition.
Normally statistics are neither here nor there. But 100 wins and also my 150th international in charge is brilliant. Over these games, there have been many brilliant moments but also some tears. I have to thank my players for this.
