Coppa Italia: Dybala helps Khedira’s Juventus to semi-final victory

Sami Khedira and the Juventus squad are in an excellent position to potentially lift the Italian cup. In a semi-final match against SSC Napoli, Juventus progressed through in a 3-1 (0-1) win on Tuesday night. Juventus started by falling behind in their own stadium to a strike by Jose Callejon on the 36 minute mark, but succeeded in turning the match around after the break.

The Argentinean international Paulo Dybala calmly converted two penalties in the 47th and 69th minute, both times hitting the bottom left corner. His countryman and strike partner Gonzalo Higuain scored in the 64th minute between penalties with a headed assist from Giorgio Chiellini, making it 2-1.

Khedira had a strong outing in defensive midfield, playing for the whole 90 minutes. The reverse leg will be played in Naples at the beginning of April.
