Idrissou secures Frankfurts promotion
After one year, Eintracht Frankfurts awaited return to the Bundesliga is completed. The team from Hesse won 3-0 (1-0) at Aachen thanks to two goals from striker Mohamadou Idrissou. With eight points ahead of Düsseldorf, Frankfurt could not be caught in the standings with two games left after round 32.
Three teams are still in the hunt for the promotion, only seperated by two points. Fortuna Düsseldorf are back on place three after an 2-1 against Union Berlin. FC St. Pauli is the first haunter after winning 3-0 against Hansa Rostock. Paderborn lost its game at Karlsruhe 0-2 and is only fifth of the table.
Due to the win KSC is still dreaming of keeping the league. For Rostock the two last games are the last chances to get place 16.
1860 München kept their promotion hopes alive on Saturday winning 4-1 at home against FC Ingolstadt. In another local derby, Erzgebirge Aue and Dynamo Dresden from Saxony drew 1-1.
On Friday, Greuther Fürth secured promotion thanks to a 1-1 at FSV Frankfurt. The match between Eintracht Braunschweig and MSV Duisburg ended with a goalless draw. In the third match on friday Energie Cottbus got not more than a 1-1 draw against VfL Bochum.
