U17 World Cup squad: Chmielinski set to replace Stolze

U17 international Anna-Lena Stolze has had to leave the squad early due to illness. DFB manager Anouschka Bernhard has called up 1. FFC Turbine player Gina-Maria Chmielinski as her replacement. The 16-year old has played for both the U15 and U1 squad and played her first match for the U17s at the end of August.

Anouschka Bernhard’s team face Venezuela on Friday in their opening game of the tournament at 14:00 CEST. Their other group games will take place on 3rd October (18:00 CEST) against Canada and on 7th October (18:00 CEST) against Cameroon. The two teams with the most points in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals. The U17 Women’s World Cup final will take place on 21st October at 19:00 CEST in Amman.
