Thomas Tuchel: "Everything is perfect"

Borussia Dortmund have their name on the DFB-Pokal for a fourth time following the 2-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt. DFB.de brings you all the reaction from both teams.

Thomas Tuchel (Borussia Dortmund, head coach): I’m completely out of it. I was so excited during the Bayern semi-final, I gave so much. But now I’m all out of steam. That was a really tough game. We stopped playing football after taking the lead and were lucky to not go behind. I didn’t dare let myself dream of this moment. I have been sleeping well, even at lunch time today. Everything is perfect today!

Niko Kovac (Eintracht Frankfurt, head coach): Congratulations to Borussia Dortmund. BVB were the better team in the second half, they had control of the game. I have such respect for my team for the way they played today. Finals are decided by small details, but we fought bravely today.

Reinhard Rauball (Borussia Dortmund, president): This is a wonderful moment that we all work so hard for. It wasn’t easy, but we started really well, then we lost our rhythm a little. It was a very even match, but the team pulled themselves together and deserved the win.

Fredi Bobic (Eintracht Frankfurt, sporting director): We gathered all the strength that we had left in the tank and made things very difficult for the big favourites. We could have taken the lead, but in the end lost to a penalty. That hurts.

Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund): I’m a footballer, and everyone that plays football wants to win titles. I have been happy until not, but with a trophy it feels even better. I feel insanely happy right now that it finally happened. It’s been a long time. We finally bring the cup back to Dortmund. We had a great season, with lots of highs and lows. The shows our character. It’s going to be a long night and we will enjoy this.

Lukas Hradecky (Eintracht Frankfurt): It was just one of those days. That’s football. I want to experience this again, that’s all that matters. We want to try and get back here next year again. I’m determined to play here again and I’m sure that Eintracht will do it.
