Schult and Solo are the World’s Best Goalkeepers in 2014- Angerer comes third

Germany goalkeeper Almuth Schult crowned her excellent season with two club titles and has now been awarded the title of World’s Best Goalkeeper for the first time.

VfL Wolfsburg’s goalkeeper, who won the league and Champions League this year, came first with 100 points; she shares top spot with American keeper Hope Solo. The vote was conducted by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS). World and European champion, and current Germany number one, Nadine Angerer came in third place with 45 points, making it good result from a German point of view.
