World Cup winner Mesut Özil has been named the PFA Fans' Player of the Month as a result of his strong recent performances. The 26-year-old Arsenal player beat Christian Benteke (Belgium/Aston Villa), Yannick Bolasie (DR Congo/Crystal Palace), Esteban Cambiasso (Argentina/Leicester City), Eden Hazard (Belgium/Chelsea) and Ander Herrera (Spain/Manchester United) to the award.
Özil scored and grabbed an assist in the 4-1 win over Liverpool. He also impressed in the games against Burnley and Chelsea.
